Yes — a group can book several villas in Tulum and keep everyone behind the same gate. AMARI Uptown is a 46-home eco-luxury jungle villa community, and 16 of those homes are currently rentable. The on-site concierge can coordinate a multi-villa stay so eight people, twenty people, or more sleep in separate houses but share one property, one entrance and one point of contact.

The other villas in the community are individually owned and configured, which is exactly why a multi-villa request goes through the concierge rather than a shopping cart.
One honest caveat up front: we do not publish live inventory for the community, and availability is never guaranteed — particularly over festival weeks and the December–April high season. The only way to know what is actually free on your dates is to ask.
Why One Community Beats Five Scattered Rentals
The usual way a large group ends up housed in Tulum is four or five unrelated listings spread across town, each with a different host, a different check-in ritual and a different set of rules. It works, but it quietly costs you the whole trip.
- One gate. Everybody is inside the same controlled entrance. Nobody is coordinating taxis between neighbourhoods at 1 a.m.
- One concierge. A single person handles the whole party — restaurant reservations, excursions, transport — instead of five hosts who have never spoken to one another.
- Walkable. Villas inside AMARI Uptown are a short walk apart, so the group can spread out to sleep and still gather in one place to eat.
- One arrival plan. Flights land at different times. One community means one drop-off point and one set of directions to send around the group chat.
- Everyone in the same standard of home. No cousin stuck in the compromise rental twenty minutes away.
There is a competing option worth naming honestly: single mega-villas with five to twelve bedrooms that sleep the whole party under one roof. Those exist in Tulum and they are a genuinely different product. If your group wants one enormous house with one kitchen, that is what to search for. If your group wants separate front doors, real privacy at night, and a shared community by day — which is usually what multigenerational families and adult friend groups actually want — this is the better shape.

How Many People Can You Actually Sleep?
This is where most group-rental pages start inventing numbers. We will not.
What we can state precisely: Luxury Jungle VIBE sleeps six across three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. What we cannot state precisely is the bedroom count of the other fifteen rentable villas, because they are individually owned, individually furnished, and their availability changes constantly. Any page that quotes you a firm “sleeps 48” figure for a community like this is guessing.
So the useful way to think about it is arithmetic you control: tell the concierge your headcount and your dates, and you get back the actual villas free on those nights and what each one sleeps. Two villas covers a dozen-ish people. Three or four covers a wedding party. The ceiling is set by what is unbooked that week, not by a marketing number.
Why It Has to Be a Direct Booking
This is structural, not a sales pitch. On Airbnb and Vrbo, each villa in AMARI Uptown is a separate listing owned by a separate host. There is no mechanism on those platforms for one person to combine several homes into a single coordinated reservation, and no host on a marketplace can see or hold another host’s calendar.

Who This Actually Works For
- Multigenerational family trips. Grandparents get a quiet house and a real bed; the family with small children gets their own walls and their own 6 a.m.

- Wedding parties. The couple, the immediate family and the wedding party can each have a front door, ten metres apart.

When to Ask
Earlier than you think, and for a specific reason: a group booking needs several calendars to line up at once, and every extra villa multiplies the odds that one of them is already taken.
Tulum’s high season runs roughly December through April, when the weather is dry and the whole coast is busy. Festival weeks are tighter still and tend to be the first dates in the year to disappear. Getting Everyone There
A group arriving on six different flights is the part that goes wrong most often, so plan it deliberately.
Tulum International Airport (TQO) is the closer option — roughly 35 minutes from AMARI Uptown — and Luxury Jungle VIBE guests get a complimentary SUV pickup from it. Cancún (CUN) has far more international routes but is a much longer drive.
